As you age, your skin loses collagen and your appearance becomes less smooth and full as a result. Sculptra® Aesthetic is a cosmetic injectable that uses a biocompatible material known as poly-L-lactic acid to gradually replace this lost collagen and reduce the lines, folds, and wrinkles of your face, including chin wrinkles, marionette lines, and smile lines.

When you receive a Sculptra treatment, our dentists will carefully examine the condition of your skin to determine if this treatment will be effective for you. Sculptra will be injected deep into the middle layer of skin, known as the dermis, where strands of collagen support the skin. Sculptra then works to rebuild the collagen in the area to help you achieve a healthier, more youthful appearance.

Most patients require three injections over a three- to four-month period to achieve the best results, though this treatment schedule may vary based on your skin type and the amount of collagen you have lost. The results of your treatment will appear gradually over several months and may last for up to two years. Your results may be subtle, and you might need to compare images before treatment to images taken several months following your Sculptra treatment in order to see your results.
